Recruiting Roundup: Adrian Killins visits Syracuse, sets decision date

CBS Sports’ Seth Davis released his top 25 rankings for this week on Twitter, and he has Syracuse listed as “Almost Famous” after SU improved to 5-5 in the ACC over the weekend. On that note, let’s move to today’s recruiting links…

Three-star athlete Adrian Killins Jr. took his official visit to Syracuse over the weekend, and recapped it with Scout.com’s Mike McAllister. The Mainland (Fla.) prospect will make his decision on signing day, though he is currently a UCF commit. Syracuse is viewing him as a receiver.

Another recruit visiting over the weekend was Peach State defensive end Josh White. The three-star defensive end currently holds offers from Maryland, Purdue and Mississippi State. Syracuse has not offered yet, and it will likely depend on what happens with…

… 2016 Syracuse defensive end commit Jaquwan Nelson, who took an official visit to Georgia over the weekend, and posted several pictures on Twitter. Nelson committed on his official visit to SU earlier in the month after being committed to Miami at one point.

Former Syracuse commit Lindsey Scott has now pledged to LSU, he tweeted. Scott committed under the Shafer era but decommitted from Syracuse earlier in the year. He had also been pursued by Maryland and Rutgers.

Another former Syracuse commit, Dymelle Parker, pledged to Townson over the weekend via Twitter. According to 247 Sports, Parker is a three-star linebacker who also held offers from Indiana, Pitt and Rutgers, among others.

Martin Mangram, a one-time Syracuse recruit, pledged to UMass over the weekend, he reported on Twitter. The Buford (Ga.) native is rated three stars by 247 Sports, and also had offers from Iowa, Illinois and Northwestern.

Rivals.com’s Scott Brown reports that Syracuse is pursuing 2017 two-star offensive lineman Kyle Schreiner from Fairport (NY). He was visited by running backs coach Mike Hart over the weekend, though Syracuse has not extended an offer yet.

Elite 2017 guard Trevon Duval is set to cut his list soon, he tells SNY.tv’s very own, Adam Zagoria. Duval currently holds offers from Villanova, Arizona, Indiana, Louisville, Maryland, Syracuse, UConn, Kansas, Oregon, Oklahoma, UCLA, N.C. State, Rutgers, Seton Hall and St. John’s, among others.
