Without its best shooter, James Southerland, due to an eligibility issue, Syracuse’s offense struggled to get going in the first half Saturday against Villanova. But C.J. Fair scored nine of his 22 points in the first five minutes of the second, and the Orange held steady for a 72-61 win.
