Syracuse forward James Southerland out with eligibility matter

Syracuse forward James Southerland is out indefinitely due to an eligibility matter, Syracuse announced Saturday morning.

Southerland is ineligibile

Citing University policy and federal student privacy laws, SU wasn’t able to provide any further details.

The senior was averaging 13.2 points and 5.2 rebounds as SU’s sixth man.

Last year, center Fab Melo missed three games during the regular season and the entire NCAA tournament due to eligibility issues.

    Glad to get invite..e mail details The implementation of of Grant and Cooney will prove vital now that James has eligibility issues. Confidence and control will be McNamara ‘s project going forward. Coleman minutes in spot minutes next. Grant should not have free-throw issues given his form. Another McNamara project.
