Top recruit Nerlens Noel chooses Kentucky over Syracuse, Georgetown

Top center recruit Nerlens Noel will be taking his talents to the University of Kentucky.

Borrowing a quote from Lebron James, Noel made his decision live on ESPNU. “I’ll be taking my talents to,” Noel said, before turning around to show a University of Kentucky logo cut into the back of his hair.

“I just thought it was the best fit for me,” Noel said, adding that his mother felt that it was the best decision, as well.

Noel was ranked as the No. 1 recruit in the 2012 class according to Scout.com. He had narrowed his decision down to three schools, Syracuse, Kentucky and Georgetown, before deciding to head to the Wildcats.
